Maria (Pluta) Gronka, of Clifton passed away peacefully on November 22, 2017 at her home with her family at her side.

Born in Trybsz, Poland, she came to the US in 1971 and lived in Clifton, Garfield, and Jersey City, returning to Clifton several years ago. A parishioner of Ss. Cyril and Methodius RC Church, Clifton, Maria worked for Duro Test in Clifton for many years, retiring in 1999.

Beloved mother of Anna Tomaszkowicz and her husband Leon, Malgosia D'Amico and her husband Anthony, Walenty "Will", Mark and his wife Denise , and Mary Fajvan and her husband Robert. Loving Babci to John and his wife Anna, Diane, Krystina, Matthew, Stephen and Nicholas. Great Babci to Mark. Dear sister to Anna Fuhrmann, Margaret Pluta and Jakub Pluta. She is also survived by her aunt Maria Biziak.

Funeral Monday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at Ss. Cyril and Methodius RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Sunday 2-6 PM at the funeral home.
