Marcelina (Padilla) Esguerra, 89, of Daly City, California, passed away on August 23, 2014. Born in Sto. Thomas, Penaranda, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, she came to the US on October 27, 1985 and lived in Passaic before moving to California in 1991. A former parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Marcelina was a business woman in the Philippines for many years, retiring several years ago. Beloved wife of the late Nemesio J. Esguerra. Devoted mother of Mirla and her husband Manuel del Rosario, Josephine E. Ramos, and Wilma and her husband Benjamin Lim. Loving grandmother of Joyce E. Ramos, Anna Ria E. del Rosario, and Manuel Ari E. del Rosario and his wife Maya Doi. Cherished great grandmother of Musashi and Iroha. Funeral Saturday 8 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 9 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Bloomfield. Visiting Friday 4-9 PM at the funeral home.
