Mahendera Bhailalbhai Patel (M.B.), born on October 7, 1952, in Narsanda, India, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, surrounded by love and memories that will live on forever.
Mahendera was a devoted husband to Smitaben Mahendrabhai Patel, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage filled with partnership, strength, and unwavering commitment. He was a loving father to Atit Patel and Kinjal Patel, and a proud and caring grandfather to Krish, Shiv, Arya, Arvi, and Adi, who brought immense joy to his life.
A farmer by trade, Mahendera was known for his strong work ethic and resilience. He was a man of great strength, both physically and emotionally, and faced life with determination and grace. He carried a joyful spirit, always laughing, smiling, and making those around him feel happy and at ease.
Mahendera took pride in dressing well and always presented himself with care. He loved his daily cup of tea, enjoyed bhajiya and a wide variety of Indian foods, and cherished celebrating Diwali and Navratri with family and community. His love for tradition, family, and simple pleasures defined the warmth of his character.
Above all, Mahendera will be remembered as a joyful soul—someone who loved deeply, laughed freely, and brought light into every room he entered. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on through all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013.
Cremation will follow on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Ave, Clifton, NJ 07014.
