Madeline (Zittlan) Karner, 91, of Clifton passed away on September 4, 2012. Born in Poland, Madeline came to the US in 1926 and first settled in Garfield before moving to Clifton in 1947. A member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Passaic, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Madeline worked as a Secretary for Passaic General Hospital, Passaic, for several years. Beloved wife of the late Matthew, who passed away in 2004. Devoted mother of Ronald of Waldwick, NJ. Cherished grandmother of Matthew, Veronica and Christopher.
