Lyle E. Cady, 92, of Clifton passed away on March 16, 2014. Born in Nebraska, he lived in Passaic and Elmwood Park before moving to Clifton many years ago. A US Navy Veteran of WWII, Lyle was a member of VFW Post #6487, Clifton, and was a Service Repairman for Sears in Fairfield for 18 years, retiring in 1974. An active parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Lyle was a member of the Golden Circle, Leisure Club, Holy Name Society, Rosary Society and Loaves and Fishes. Beloved husband of the late Betty (Schweighardt) Cady and the late Bertha (Kaszycki) Cady. Devoted father of Lyle, Jr., and his wife Marsha of NC, and Brian Michael and his wife Ellen of Sparta. Loving grandfather of 6 grandchildren. Funeral Wednesday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Entombment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Funeral Home.
