Lydia A. Aves (Asuncion), 82, of Passaic passed away on June 15, 2019. Born in the Philippines, she came to the US in 1968 and lived in Trenton before settling in Passaic. Lydia was a dietician for Passaic General Hospital, Passaic, and Jersey City Medical Center, Jersey City, for many years before retiring in 2008.

Beloved wife of the late Numeriano Aves who passed away in 2000. Devoted mother of Michael Aves and his wife Liz of Passaic, and Melissa Aves of Passaic. Cherished grandmother of Michael and Chloe. Loving sister of Wedding Gonzales, Herminia, Percy, Vicente, and Eleuterio Asuncion, the late Celedona, Bienvenido, Restituto, Jesus, and Fructuosa Asuncion.

Funeral Wednesday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Passaic. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
