Luis "Lou" Angel Soto, 71, of Passaic, passed away on March 1, 2018. Born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, he moved to Brooklyn in 1957, before settling in Passaic in the 1970's.

A proud veteran of the US Marine Corps., Lou served from 1967-71, including a tour in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. During his time in the Marines he attained the rank of Sergeant.

Lou was the owner/operator of an advertising firm, Sotoco, for over 20 years, before retiring in 2000. While operating his own advertising firm, Lou also proudly served as both President of the Kiwanis Club of Passaic and President of the Passaic Park Merchant's Association in the 1980's.

Beloved husband of Betty (Cruz) for 43 years. Devoted father of Louis Anthony and his wife Heather of Toms River, and Jacqueline Susan of Keyport.  Dear brother of Nereida "Nellie" Figueroa and her husband John of California, and the late Jose "Pepi" Soto.

Visiting THURSDAY 5:00-8:00 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral beginning FRIDAY 8:45 AM at the funeral home and funeral mass at 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 217 President St., Passaic. Interment and Presentation of Military Honors, St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi.
