Luigi Galdo, 83, of Clifton, passed away on September 2, 2015. Born in Pratola Serra, (AV) Italy, he came to the US in 1958 and settled in Paterson before moving to Clifton in 1969. A parishioner of St. Clare's RC Church, Clifton, Luigi was a Tailor in Italy and later was a Production Manager for Signature, Inc., in Clifton, where he worked for 30 years, retiring in 1993. Luigi was a member of the Roma Sports Club of Paterson where he served as Vice President for many years. Luigi enjoyed Soccer, working in his garden and making homemade wine, but most important was time spent with his family. Beloved husband for 59 years of Carolina (Fabrizio). Devoted father of Ester Petrillo and her husband Antonio of Italy, Matthew of Lincoln Park, Vincent and his wife Elaine of Clifton, and Caroline Colone and her husband Edward of Woodland Park. Loving grandfather of Giovanni and Eliane, Roberto and Emanuela, Amanda, Nicole and Mark, Jackelyn, Antonio, Jason, Louis, Edwin, and Cristina. Cherished great grandfather of Jessica, Antonio and Andre. Also survived by sister Esterina Nevola of Italy, sister in law Maria Galdo of Clifton, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Mateo and Vincenzo and sister Maria Turelli Funeral Saturday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Clare's RC Church, Clifton.
