Louis E. Ulrich, 78, of Rutherford passed away on June 17, 2025. Born in Jersey City, he lived in West New York and Kearny before settling in Rutherford.

Louis worked as a municipal bond analyst for Smith Barney and later Interactive Data, Manhattan, NY before retiring. Louis was an avid collector from childhood, finding joy in discovering the history and value of items including books, figurines, stamps, and rare memorabilia. In his early life, Louis was a musician playing trumpet and clarinet with a successful band of lifelong friends. Louis was an avid reader, devoted father, and friend to many.

Beloved father of Danielle Ulrich and her husband Jeremy and Jennifer Ulrich. Dear brother of Harold Ulrich and his wife Harriet. Lifelong friend to former spouse Nancy Ulrich and former sister in law MaryLou. Cherished uncle to Sheri, Dennis, Amanda, Dawn, and David.

Visiting Sunday, June 22, 2 – 6 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Monday, June 23, 8:45 AM at the funeral home and 10 AM at St. Mary's RC Church, Rutherford. Cremation, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
