Louis Gec, 96, of Clifton, passed away on March 2, 2014. Born in Utica, NY, he lived in Kearny before moving to Clifton 57 years ago. A parishioner of Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church, Woodland Park, Louis was a welder for Midway Co in Lodi for 20 years, retiring in 1970. After retirement, Lou and his wife Wanda owned and operated Louwan Kennels where they bred and showed prize winning Shih-Tzu's, and were members of the North Jersey Kennel Club. Beloved husband for 72 years of Wanda (Siedziak). Devoted father of Thaddeus Gec of Delray Beach, Fl., and Lois Antonucci of Clifton. Loving grandfather of Brandon Gec and his wife Lisa, and John Antonucci. Funeral Friday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at Holy Cross PNC Church, Woodland Park. Visiting Thursday 5-9 PM at the funeral home.
