Louis L. DeVita, Jr., 52, of Clifton, passed away on March 21, 2015. Born in Passaic he was a lifelong resident of Clifton. Before retiring in 2012, Louis was a Custodian for the Clifton Board of Education for 29 years. Louis was a member of the Knights of Columbus Regina-Mundi Council # 3969, Clifton, and the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). Beloved father of Katy and Jeremy DeVita, both of Clifton. Devoted son of the late Louis, Sr., and Ann Marie (Timko) DeVita. Loving grandfather of Madison. Dear brother of Paul and his wife Laura of Clifton, Lucy Pavan and her husband Greg of Clifton. Frank and his wife Michele of Nutley, and Catherine Erikson and her husband Ian of Wayne. Cherished uncle of Gianna and Genelle Pavan, Paul J., Nicholas and Olivia DeVita, Hayden and Brugge Erickson. Funeral Saturday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Cremation will be private. Visiting Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
