Louis J. "Lou" Carlin, 65, of Clifton, passed away May 31, 2013. Born and raised in Passaic, he lived there before moving to Clifton in 1975. An Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, Lou worked in the field of Aviation since his military service and was Chief Inspector for Aviall in Parsippany for the past 10 years. A die-hard Republican, Lou was a member of the Garfield VFW Post #2867, the NRA, and enjoyed the Racetrack and Casino. Beloved husband for 38 years of Gail (Kutney). Devoted father of Jessica and Cheryl Carlin of Clifton. Cherished son of the late Louis and Muriel Carlin. Dear brother of Kathleen Carlin of Wallington, and the late Patricia Anne Guarino who passed away in 2001. Dear brother in law of Ronald, Robert and Sandra Kutney, Gloria Farina and Joe Guarino. Loving uncle of several nieces and nephews. Visiting Tuesday 3-7 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Cremation Private.
