Obituary

Linda Ann Peck, age 64, passed away peacefully at home on October 29, 2021 surrounded by her family and loving caregivers.
Linda grew up in Lyndhurst where she lived with her parents Pete and Virginia as well as her brothers Peter and Richard. Linda attended Sacred Heart and Lyndhurst HS. She received a psychology degree from Fairleigh Dickinson College. After college, Linda worked for her wonderful Uncle Frank Pezzolla at Frank's GMC.
When Linda was 15 years old, Linda was diagnosed with a congenital malformation of blood vessels in her brain. In her mid-20s, Linda had a massive brain bleed which left her paralyzed. Linda was an extraordinary model of strength and grace. She lived her life with great courage, a sense of humor, and without self-pity. Until the end of her life journey, whenever asked how she was doing, Linda usually said "very excellent".
Linda was a bridesmaid for her cousin Maryann and also for Monica and Peter. Linda said the highlight of her life was being her nephew Michael's godmother. Linda was quick to smile and laugh. She loved people and deeply appreciated every visit and phone call.
Linda was a blessing to all who knew her. Linda's parents Virginia and Pete unselfishly devoted their lives to Linda's care. Peter, Monica and Brian felt privileged to do their very best to help care for Linda especially this last year. Linda rarely complained as she did not want people to feel sorry for her. She was always very forgiving.
Besides Peter, Monica and Richard, Linda is survived by nephews Michael, Brian, and Andrew, a host of cousins and their children. Cousins Anna, Shawn, Frank M and Roseann, Frank and Evie, Delores, Teresa, Richie, Maryann  and Anthony always remembered Linda throughout the year which brought Linda much happiness. Anna faithfully called Linda every Friday. She was Linda's best friend. Every year, Linda looked forward to hosting her Christmas party in her own home.
Linda truly loved all her caretakers especially Doris, Rozina, Louise, Carol, Nancy, Guadaloupe, and Helena. Caregivers Nay, Jen and Benita held a special place in Linda's heart. This past year, Linda enjoyed regular visits from Chaplain DJ, Alexa, Bunette, and MaryKate. Linda absolutely loved her biweekly music sessions with Maria. Linda loved to sing. Linda's aide Rozina was always dancing and singing with Linda. Judy and MaryGrace were faithful friends for many years. Linda's family greatly appreciates their loving care for Linda and wishes them all God's blessings. A special place in heaven awaits Linda's team who every day cared for and loved Linda as if she was their own sister.
Linda was predeceased by her parents and her beloved "aunties Tess, Jo and Kay" as well as aunts Vera, Nita, Minnie, Rosie and Millie.
