Leon J. Tomaszkowicz, 75, of Butler passed away on March 7, 2024. Born in Krempachy, Poland, Leon came to the US in 1971 and first settled in Elmwood Park and lived in Garfield before moving to Butler in 1992. He was a plumber his whole career and worked for several companies in the area including VJI Plumbing in Clifton and Kelco in Lake Hopatcong before retiring in 2015.

Beloved husband for 47 years of Anna (Gronka). Devoted father of John Tomaszkowicz and his wife Anna of Kinnelon, and Diane Tomaszkowicz of Butler. Cherished grandfather of Mark Tomzick. Dear brother of Jozef Tomaszkowicz and his wife Anna, Walenty Tomaszkowicz and his wife Teresa, Anna Lojek and her husband Franciszek, and Franciszek Tomaszkowicz (deceased) and his wife Lucyna. Nephew of John Galus. Leon is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visiting Sunday 2-6PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Monday 8:45AM at the funeral home and 10AM at Ss. Cyril and Methodius RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
