Lawrence R. Winkler, 96, of Clifton, passed away on December 15, 2020. Born in Passaic, he lived there before moving to Clifton in 1939.

A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Larry was a member of the former SJK Holy Name Society. A US Army Veteran of WW II, Larry was a member of the Athenia Veterans Post, and the American Legion Post # 8, Clifton. Larry was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Regina-Mundi Council #3969, where he served as the Membership Chairman for 8 years. Larry was a cost accountant for Fine Organics in Lodi, retiring in 1987, and had also worked for Raybestos-Manhattan for 31 years.

Beloved husband of the late Doris (Gola), who passed away in 1992. Devoted father of Robert L. Winkler of Clifton. Dear brother of the late Frank and Joseph Winkler, and Martha Schweighardt.

Funeral Monday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Sunday 2-4 PM at the funeral home.
