Laila (Guirguis) El-Zind, 82, of Paterson, passed away on October 26, 2018. Born in Cairo, Egypt, Laila came to the US in 1983 and lived in Garfield before settling in Paterson. Laila worked as a Forensic Scientist with the NJ State Police at the Meadowlands racetrack for 19 years, before retiring in 2002.

Beloved wife of the late Hassan El-Zind who passed away in 2013. Devoted mother of Adel, Nabila, Wael, Samira, Hany, and Ehab El-Zind. Cherished grandmother of Nagwa, Diana, Eric, Nicole, Allison, Ben, Angela, and Kevin. Dear sister of Fawzia Metri and Nagib Guirguis.

Funeral Wednesday 12:00 PM at St. Antonious & St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church, East Rutherford. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting Wednesday 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton.
