Obituary

Kenneth Pres, 95, of Passaic, passed away on May 31, 2014. Born in Warsaw, Poland, he came to the US in 1956 and lived in Newark before moving to Passaic many years ago. A WW II veteran of both the Polish and British Army, Ken was a 2nd Lieutenant and Tank Platoon Commander. Later after getting wounded, he was a Company Commander of a Convalescent Depot, receiving the Polish Cross for Valor and several other medals. Ken worked for Worthington Pump Corp. in Harrison for 30 years in the manufacturing of US military submarine pumps, retiring in 1983. Ken was a member of the Photography Club. Beloved husband of the late Jeanne (Szepelak) who passed away in 1985. Devoted father of John of Passaic. Loving grandfather of Christopher and his wife Rachel, and Jessica Natalizio and her husband Paul. Cherished great grandfather of Ryan, Jenna and Benjamin. Visiting Monday, 4-7 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, with a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM. Cremation will be private.
