Keith A. LaForgia, 56, of Clifton, passed away on August 4, 2021. Born in Englewood, he lived in Garfield before moving to Clifton many years ago. A sheet metal worker for over 25 years, Keith was a member of the Sheet Metal Worker's Union, Local, 25, Carlstadt, the Sheet Metal Worker's International Association, and was a 25 year member of the Sheet Metal, Air, Rail, Transportation Union. After the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, NYC, Keith worked on the Recovery Efforts at Ground Zero.
Keith served on the Clifton Board of Education and was a Commissioner on the Clifton Zoning Board of Adjustment for many years. Keith served as President of the Clifton Eastern Division Little League, was an Assistant District Administrator, Little League NJ District 2, and was a member of the Clifton High School Softball Booster Club. A member of the Knights of Columbus and the Clifton Elks Lodge #1569, Clifton, Keith enjoyed Golf, was an avid Giants and Yankees Fan, but his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren.
Beloved father of Amanda Beckerle and her husband Robert of Lodi, and Kelly LaForgia of Wallington. Loving grandfather of R.J., Joey and Julia. Cherished son of Donna (Thompkins) LaForgia. Dear brother of Raelynn Timolid of Wayne, Gail Dykstra of Brick, Doreen Tammaro of West Hazelton, PA, and Yvette Tripicchio of Hawthorne. Also survived by his former wife Terry Kunz, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Tuesday 10 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment, Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson. Visiting Monday 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
