Katia (Hordienko) Nasarenko, 86, of Garfield, passed away on December 19, 2011. Born in the Ukraine, she came to the US in 1950 and lived in Passaic before settling in Garfield in 1955. A former parishioner of Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church, Clifton, Katia was a Supervisor for Hoffmann-LaRoche in Nutley where she worked for over 25 years, retiring in 1987. Beloved wife of the late John who passed away in 1993. Devoted mother of Nicholas and his wife Lynn of Garfield, and the late Gregory who passed away in 2010. Visiting Thursday 6-9 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, with Panikhida Service at 7 PM.
