Kathleen (nèe Giblin) Van Duffelen, 81, of Glen Rock, NJ passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025.  Born in Passaic to Patrick and Mary (nèe Coyne) Giblin, she was raised in Clifton where she resided until moving to Glen Rock in 2005.

Kathy was a former parishioner of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Clifton, where she also attended grammar school. Known to enjoy a day of shopping, even if it was just to browse, Kathy also enjoyed trips to the casino and gardening in her younger days. She was an animal lover and her home was always open for a new addition to the family.  Extremely proud of her Irish heritage, Kathy loved anything Irish.

A woman with a strong work ethic, Kathy was a waitress with Mario's Restaurant in Clifton for over forty years. She was well-known around Clifton with a host of regulars being served by her in the section of Mario's known as "Kathy's Corner". Even after her retirement in 2016, coworkers and loyal customers continued to keep in touch.

Loving and devoted mother of Peter Van Duffelen and wife Maria and the late Kimberley Van Duffelen. Cherished grandmother "Mimi" of Evan Joseph and Liam Peter Van Duffelen. Dear sister of Marie Cannici and late husband Pete, Patrick "Bunny" Giblin and the late Ann Theresa "Tet" Sullivan and late husband Jim. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cherished friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends Saturday, September 6, 2025, 8 – 9:30 a.m. at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, NJ.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 124 Union Avenue, Clifton.
