Julia Caraballo, 93, of Wanaque, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026. Born in Puerto Rico, she came to the mainland in 1954 and lived in Paterson and Clifton before moving to Wanaque.

Julia Caraballo was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and great-aunt, and the heart of her family. She was a woman of quiet strength and deep love, whose kindness touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Julia is survived by her devoted children, her daughter Luz E. Sullivan, and her husband Daniel F. Sullivan, and her son Mariano Ortiz, and his wife Elba Ortiz. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Isaac, Lissette, Amira, and Kristina, and a cherished great-grandmother to Emily, Angela, Theodore, and Vada, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Julia was truly the kindest soul. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a warm heart, and an unwavering love for her family, who always came first in her life. She was a beloved aunt to Abigail Santiago and Carmen Del Rio, and a great-aunt to their children, sharing her warmth, guidance, and humor with her extended family, who loved her dearly.

She worked for many years as a seamstress at the LoBelle Company, where her dedication, skill, and work ethic reflected the pride she took in everything she did.

Julia embodied courage, grace, humility, generosity, warmth, and humor, and was cherished by her loving family. Her spirit will live on through the lives she shaped and the love she gave so freely. Julia's memory will be held close forever and never forgotten.
