Juan J. Rivera, 74, of Garfield, passed away on July 4, 2013. Born in Naguabo, Puerto Rico, he came to the mainland in 1963 and settled in Passaic, moving to Garfield 17 years ago. Juan worked for Globe, Inc. in Clifton for many years, retiring in 1988. Beloved husband for 49 years of Abigail (Cintron). Devoted father of Daniel and his wife Ana of Easton, PA., Luz Rivera and her husband Israel of Bloomfield, Sandra Rivera of Lodi, Benjamin and his wife Alicia of Garfield, Angelica Barrera and her husband Usmar of Mays Landing, and the late David who passed away in 2010. Dear brother of Angel Nazario of Puerto Rico. Loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral Tuesday 11 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
