Juan Diego Otalbaro, 39, passed away on November 26, 2022. He was born in Passaic on January 25th, 1983 and grew up between Passaic and neighboring Clifton, NJ. He played basketball for Clifton High School and later graduated from Ramapo College with a combined Bachelors / Masters in Social Work. He completed clinical training in several states and began working as a counselor with at-risk youth through the New York State Office of Child and Family Services in 2019.

Juan Diego was entrepreneurial throughout his life and started several businesses at various stages to fund his education and provide support for his family. He was a dedicated and loving father to Victoria, Joseph, and Manuel, brother to Sebastian, son to Jose and Elia, and partner to Elizabeth. He is remembered for his infectious laughter, tremendous generosity, and charming capacity to see good in everyone. In his personal and professional life he tried to help others convert the violence of the past into hope for the future and appreciation for the present.
