Juan R. Montalvo, 85, of Paterson passed away on September 9, 2021. Born in Las Marias, Puerto Rico he traveled to the mainland in 1952 and settled in Paterson. Juan worked as a butcher for Shoprite Supermarkets for many years before retiring in 2015.

Devoted father of Somalia Peña of Paterson. Cherished grandfather of Genesis Peña. Brother in law of Clotilde Montalvo. Uncle of Evelyn, Doris, Hermel and Edwin Montalvo. Brother of the late Santiago, Israel and Patria Montalvo Muniz.

Visiting Thursday 6 – 8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Service Friday 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment, Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton.
