Obituary

Jozef Baka, 82, of Lincoln Park, passed away on July 17, 2013. Born in Maniowy, Poland, he came to the US in May of 1967 and lived in Passaic and Wallington before moving to Lincoln Park in 1983. A parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus RC Church, Wallington, Jozef was a former parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton and was a member and Treasurer of Club Maniowy. Jozef was a Machine Operator for 26 years for Okonite Cable Co. in Passaic and Paterson, retiring in 1993. Beloved husband for 59 years of Maria (Klapacz). Devoted father of Wladyslaw and his wife Sabina of Bloomingdale, Anna Makowski and her husband Tadeusz of Carlstadt, and Krystyna Plewa and her husband Walter of Kinnelon. Loving grandfather of Joanna, Adam, Stanley, Basia, Kathy, Margaret, Krysia and Renia. Cherished great grandfather of Haydyn, Carson, Jacen and Julianna. Dear brother of Maria Niemiec of Poland, and the late Jan and Helena Baka. Funeral Saturday 7:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 9 AM at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus RC Church, Wallington. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
