Joyce Tkacz, 78, of Wallington passed away on March 27, 2022. Born and raised in Wallington, Joyce graduated from Wallington HS and then received her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Art from William Paterson University. She was the head of the Math department in Christopher Columbus Middle School in Clifton where she taught Math for 30 years, and was also a recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award.

A parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus RC Church, Wallington, Joyce enjoyed entertaining and making friends with the neighborhood cats & dogs. She especially loved her two cats, Maulti & Peppi.

She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Francis Kolodziej, and her two husbands, Joseph O'Karma and Raymond Tkacz.

Joyce is survived by her sister, Dorothy Glinkin, her niece, Lisa Misertino and her husband Michael, her nephew, Bruce Glinkin and his wife Kimberly, and their families.

Visiting Thursday 4-7PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Friday 8:45AM at the funeral home and 10AM at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus RC Church, Wallington. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
