Josephine Rybak, 84, of Wharton, passed away on January 26, 2023. Born in Wieska, Poland, she came to the US in 1963 and lived in Boonton and Passaic before moving to Wharton in 1981.

A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Josephine was an Assembler for GM Motors, Clifton for 30 years, retiring in 1999.

Beloved wife of the late Miroslaw "Mike" Rybak who passed away in 2003. Devoted mother of Yvonne Surowiec and her husband Walter of Montville, and Beatrice Rybak-Petrolle of Clifton. Loving grandmother of Matthew Surowiec, Dr. Lisa Surowiec and her husband Chris Lopez, Gregory Surowiec, Michael Karcz and the late Joseph Karcz.

Visiting Sunday 2-6 PM at the Shook Funeral Home 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Monday 8:45 AM at the funeral home and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack.
