Josephine (Macaluso) Patire, 91 of Cambridge, NY, formerly of Clifton, passed away on November 25, 2011. Born in Clifton, she was a lifelong resident before moving to Cambridge in 2002. A former parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Josephine was also a former member of the Athenia Veterans Post Auxiliary, both in Clifton. Josephine was a waitress at the Queen's Diner on Van Houten Ave. in Clifton for many years and later at Cooper's Diner in West Caldwell, before retiring many years ago. Beloved wife of the late Jack who passed away in 1999. Devoted mother of John and his wife Deborah of Cambridge, NY. Dear sister of Lucy Billage of Clifton, Margaret Patire of Hoosick Falls, NY, Dolores Vladyka of Clifton, Clair Derco of Hasbrouck Heights, and the late Joseph Macaluso. Loving grandmother of Michael, James, Jonathan, and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral Thursday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
