Joseph Zavinsky, Jr., 68, of Clifton passed away on June 8, 2014. Born in Passaic, Joe moved to Clifton in 1974 but spent many summers in Ocean Beach. An Army veteran of Vietnam, Joe worked as a Computer Programmer for Cigna in Wayne and consulted for a number of other companies. Joe was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the Cherry Ridge Gun Club for many years. Beloved husband for 40 years, and devoted caretaker for the past 8 years, of Patricia (Winters). Dear brother of the late Haphia Novotny and her late husband Jeff. Cherished uncle of Michael and Randy Toth. Loved nephew of Olga Piernowski. Funeral Service Wednesday 10:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment, Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Visiting Tuesday 4-8 PM at the Funeral Home with Parastas at 7 PM.
