Obituary

Joseph R. Wos, 67, of Clifton, passed away on April 16, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Katy, Poland, he came to the US in 1960 and lived in Passaic before moving to Clifton 40 years ago. A parishioner of Holy Rosary RC Church, Passaic, Joseph was a Eucharistic Minister for many years. An Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, Joseph was a Supervisor of the Meter Readers for the Passaic Valley Water Commission, where he worked for 35 years, retiring in 2004. Joseph's passion was his family, he enjoyed gardening, playing cards with the family and was a Mr. Fix-It. Beloved husband for 44 years of Teresa (Kulikowska). Devoted father of Renee Vanderburgh and her husband Thomas of Clifton, and Michael Wos and his wife Mary of Winter Park, FL. Loving grandfather to his precious grandchildren Mary-Teresa and Thomas. Dear brother of Anelia Kania of Clifton, John Wos of Randolph, Sophie Milone of Haskell, and the late Barbara Szwed and Stanley Wos. Loving uncle of several nephews and their families. Funeral Monday 7:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 9 AM at Holy Rosary RC Church, Passaic. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Saturday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home, there will be no visiting on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, donations made to either the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Autism Speaks, or the American Cancer Society, in memory of Joseph, would be greatly appreciated.
