Joseph Aloysius Ulrich passed away July 4th at his home in Maplewood. Joseph was born to Mary and John Ulrich in Paterson; he grew up in Totowa and lived in Maplewood, New Jersey. He worked for ABC radio networks where he covered the Winter Olympics and the Democratic and Republican national conventions. He also worked for Enterprise Radio networks, CBS radio and most recently as a Supervisor for Remote Technical Systems at XM Satellite Radio where he built their recording studios in NYC. He loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle, cars and his dog, Ricky. Joe was also a friend of Bill W. and Jimmy K. He is survived by his son Ryan, his brother Robert and sister Maureen Duffy, nephews and nieces: Sean, Courtney, Danielle and Dylan Ulrich and Christian Duffy. The funeral will be Saturday 7:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave, Clifton. Service will follow at 9:00 AM at the Prospect Presbyterian Church, 646 Prospect St. Maplewood, NJ. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Visitation will be on Friday July 10, 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
