Joseph Stanley Szwed, 62, of Elmwood Park passed away on April 23, 2026. Born in Passaic, he was raised and lived in Garfield and Elmwood Park for most of his life. Joseph worked as a mason for many years and was a fan of the Seattle Seahawks and NY Yankees. He enjoyed playing cards and could always appreciate a well-made breakfast.

Joseph is survived by his son, Matthew Szwed, and his siblings, Teresa Szwed and Edward Szwed.

Visiting will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 5-8PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Friday, 8:45AM at the funeral home and 10AM at Holy Rosary RC Church, Passaic. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
