Joseph J. Puzio, "The Tiger", 91, of Clifton, passed away on October 13, 2012. Born in Passaic he lived there and in Wallington before moving to Clifton 63 years ago. An Army Veteran of WW II, Joe was a member and Past Commander of the Pavlik-Koster VFW Post #2640 Wallington. A parishioner of St. Paul's RC Church, Clifton, Joe was a member of the St. Paul's Leisure Club, the Clifton Republican Club, and was a Musician with both the Krakowiaki Family Orchestra and the Joey Parker Orchestra. Joe was the Owner of Puzio's Family Restaurant on Rt. 22 in Union, and was the Director of College Food Service Industrial Catering for Manhattan College in New York and William Paterson College, Wayne. Beloved husband for 63 years of Genevieve (Bogacz). Devoted father of Patricia Balavender and her husband John of South Orange, and Thomas J. Puzio and his wife Rosemarie of Pequannock. Loving grandfather of Lauren, Thomas and Candace. Dear brother of Edward and his wife Nancy of Clifton, Stanley and his wife Dorris of IN, Stacy Wiseman and her husband William of IN, and the late John and Chester. Joe is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as his Loving and Devoted Caregiver, Bozena Konopka. Funeral Tuesday 10 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 11 AM at St. Paul's RC Church, Clifton. Visiting Monday 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
