Joseph John Pitak, 66, of Clifton, passed away on September 12, 2018. Born in Paterson, Joe was a lifelong resident of Clifton. He was a sheet metal and construction worker for many years, and later worked as a custodian in Clifton schools. His favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing, and watching his Dallas Cowboys, NY Yankees, and NY Rangers. He also enjoyed going to Clifton football games, and supporting his daughter at all her softball games. Joe was a lifelong Moose Lodge member and everyone knew him for his good sense of humor.

Beloved husband of Allene (Umhoefer) Pitak. Devoted father of Michele Lee Pitak and her companion Jay Lenz, and Devyn Ann Pitak, all of Clifton. Dear brother of Ronald Pitak of Lafayette. Adored godson of Stella Gardocki.

Funeral Tuesday 10:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Visiting Monday 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
