Obituary

Joseph S. Nazimek, 61, of Bloomfield passed away on November 19, 2023. Born in Passaic, Joseph was raised in Clifton and has been a resident of Bloomfield since 1998. He was a Budget Analyst in Finance for University Hospital in Newark. Prior to that he worked for Hackensack University hospital and Palisades Medical Center for over 25 Years.

Joe was an amazing husband and best friend to Sharon since they were 19 years old. They were together 42 years and celebrated their 35th Wedding anniversary in October with an early trip to Aruba in September.

Joe was a committed and devoted man who loved to spend time with his family. He was deeply religious and prayed the rosary regularly. He learned the Lord's Prayer in Latin and Aramaic as well as the Hebrew Shema prayer as he said not only to challenge himself but as his gift to God.

Joe loved going on drives with Sharon and often said how it was the best part of his day. He was so excited about planning ahead for he and Sharon's upcoming retirement and was so excited on how he was moving forward with plans in order to do that.

He was extremely close with his twin brother Jim and they enjoyed spending time together.

Joe was a devoted dad who was loving and always looked for ways to help and be a great father to Michael and Alex.

Joe loved day trading stock. He had dreams of learning to play the piano and to write a novel.

He was a dedicated and avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Passionate about music, history and politics. An amazing intelligent man with many dreams and visions.

He was silly, funny, smart and positive. Joe was a compassionate and caring man who did everything for his family and also who often would buy coffee or food for the homeless people near where he worked.

His loss leaves a hole in the hearts of his family and friends who loved him dearly. He will be missed forever.

Until we meet again Bee, you were my true love and soulmate, my life and the air I breathe. I LOVE YOU. Sharon
