Joseph J. Martincavage, 99, of Clifton, died on September 6th. Born in Wyoming, PA, he moved to Clifton in 1940. Mr. Martincavage was a stationary engineer for Curtiss-Wright, Caldwell, NJ for 33 years before retiring in 1973.

Joe was a member of St. John Kanty RC Church in Clifton. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Leisure Club.

Joe is predeceased by his parents, William Martincavage (Marcinkiewicz) and Josephine Verbinski (Wierzbiska) Martincavage.

Joe is survived by Lillian Hazinski Martincavage, his devoted wife of 69 years. Joe is also survived by his son Joseph Ronald Martincavage and wife Sandra of Lancaster, PA, daughter Carol Bassano Engelhardt, son Darryl Martincavage and wife Robin of Sayreville, NJ, and son Allen William Martincavage Sr. and wife Kathryn of West Palm Beach, Florida. Joe is the grandfather to Dion Bassano Ranges, Dana Bassano, Joseph Louis Martincavage, Sr., Rachele Martincavage Ginn, Suzanne Martincavage, Jamie Martincavage Brown, Allen William Martincavage, II, Christopher Martincavage, Patrick Martincavage, and Vincent Martincavage. Joe is Great Grandfather to Heather Ranges, Tyler Ranges, Amber Bassano, Richard Darryl Brown, Zachary Brown, Sabrina Brown, Jaedyn Martincavage, Joseph Louis Martincavage, Jr., Addison Ginn, and Riley Ginn.

Arrangements are by the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Viewings are Friday, 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.. The funeral is Saturday, 9am at the Shook Funeral Home and a mass at 10am at St. John Kanty Church. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. www.shookfh.com
