Joseph Covel, 89, of Paterson passed away January 13, 2011. Born in Providence, Massachusetts, he was a resident of Paterson for many years.

An Army Veteran of WW II, Joseph was a Superintendent in the Maintenance Department in the Compensation Court in Paterson for 38 years, retiring 24 years ago.

Beloved husband of Nancy (Johnson). Devoted father of Joseph, Jr. of PA, Debbie Salamone of Wayne, Laurie Covel of Jefferson Twsp. and Eleanor Van Houten of Paterson. Dear brother of Lena, Ernie and Raymond Covel, all of MA. Loving grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
