Joseph B. Bonser, 42, of Hamburg, passed away on February 1, 2024. Born in Belleville, he grew up in Wayne and Garfield. A self employed contractor, Joey enjoyed bowling, kayaking, reading, traveling and trying new things. Beloved son of Barry and Rosetta (Hyjeck) Bonser of Hampstead, NC. Devoted brother of Christina Petocz and her husband Joseph of Kinnelon, NJ and Melissa Bonser of Hampstead, NC. A loving Uncle to his nieces and nephews Kyle Bonser, Adrieanna Piantedosi, Jacqueline Petocz, Joey Petocz, Dylan Petocz and Willow Bonser. Also survived by his former wife Melissa Clarken.

To know Joey was to love him. His infectious laugh, his sense of humor, and his ability to bring joy into every room he walked in will leave an everlasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He had an immense love for God, his family, his friends and the world. He was a selfless man with a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. Words cannot express how much he will be missed.

Memorial Gathering Friday, February 9, 2024, 6-8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Cremation was private.

Celebration of Life Service, Saturday, February 10, 2024, 11 AM at the Christian Faith Center, 132 Montgomery St., Bloomfield, NJ 07033. A Repast will be held immediately following the service.
