Joseph Bednar, 78, of Clifton passed away on July 15, 2022. Born in Frydman, Poland he traveled to the US in 1966 and settled in Clifton. A devoted parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Joseph served as lector and volunteered his time taking care of the Church for many years. Joseph worked as a production supervisor for Valois, Rockland County, NY, for 5 years before retiring in 2007.

Beloved husband of the late Mary (Iglar) Bednar who passed away in 2019. Devoted father of John Bednar and his wife Holly, Christine Coppola and her husband Danny and James Bednar and his wife Jayne. Cherished grandfather of Anthony, Christopher, Dominic, Kylie, Charles, Jackson and Tyler. Loving brother of Anna Banasiak, Fr. Jan Bednar and Maria Markowska. Joseph will be greatly missed by his In Laws and friends.

Visiting Sunday, July 24, 2 – 6 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Service Monday, July 25, 8:45 AM at the funeral home and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
