Jose H. Acosta, 79, of Clifton, passed away on March 25, 2022. Born in Colombia, he came to the US in 1965 and settled in Clifton.

A parishioner of St. Paul's RC Church, Clifton, Jose worked in the Garden Department of Home Depot, Clifton, before retiring. Jose enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching soccer games, was an avid NY Yankees fan, and playing card games, especially poker. His greatest joy was family time and supporting his granddaughters in all their activities.

Beloved husband of the late Maria J. Zachwiej. Devoted father of Elizabeth Olchowski abd her husband George of Randolph, and Monica Pieklo and her husband Boguslaw of Succasunna. Loving grandfather of Victoria, Sophia, Olivia, Amanda and Alyna. Dear brother of Nemecio, Jose Marbel, Heriberto, Lucilia, Jorge, and the late Enrique, Ana Beibe, Enrique, Ofelia, Donytilia, Juan Oscar, Melinda, Bonfacio, and Jose Hermas.

Visiting Monday 4-8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Tuesday 8:45 AM at the funeral home and 10 AM at St. Paul's RC Church, Clifton. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
