Jorge O. Vasquez, 77, of Clifton passed away on April 21, 2025. Born in Santiago, Chile, he traveled to the US in 1987 and settled in Clifton. He traveled to the U.S. with the hope of giving his family a better life and creating a place they could truly call home.

Jorge worked as an assembler for Acrison, Inc., Moonachie, for over 30 years before retiring. Though retired, he returned to work driven by passion and a deep commitment to continue providing and improving the lives of those he loved.

Jorge never gave up, no matter how hard things got. He stayed strong for his family and kept a positive attitude, even when life hit him with the toughest challenges. No matter what he was going through, he always showed up with a smile. He was the life of the party - always cracking jokes, turning up the music, and making sure the whole family was together. Family meant everything to him, and he made sure everyone felt loved and included. Jorge enjoyed soccer and spending time with his loving family.

Beloved husband for 54 years of Maria Iris (Niedbalski) Vasquez. Devoted father of Paola, Christian and his wife Angela and Carolina and her husband Tim. Loving grandfather of Anthony, Aldo, Ivana, Jaclyn, Thomas and Valerie.

Visiting Thursday, April 24, 4 – 8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Friday, April 25, 10 AM at the funeral home. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Jorge O. Vásquez, de 77 años y residente de Clifton, falleció el 21 de abril de 2025. Nacido en Santiago de Chile, viajó a Estados Unidos en 1987 y se estableció en Clifton. Viajó a Estados Unidos con la esperanza de brindarle a su familia una vida mejor y crear un hogar al que pudieran llamar verdaderamente hogar.

Jorge trabajó como ensamblador para Acrison, Inc., Moonachie, durante más de 30 años antes de jubilarse. A pesar de estar jubilado, regresó al trabajo impulsado por la pasión y un profundo compromiso de seguir brindando y mejorando la vida de sus seres queridos.

Jorge nunca se rindió, sin importar lo difícil que se pusieran las cosas. Se mantuvo fuerte por su familia y mantuvo una actitud positiva, incluso cuando la vida lo golpeó con los desafíos más difíciles. Sin importar lo que estuviera pasando, siempre aparecía con una sonrisa. Era el alma de la fiesta: siempre contaba chistes, subía el volumen de la música y se aseguraba de que toda la familia estuviera unida. La familia lo era todo para él, y se aseguraba de que todos se sintieran amados e incluidos. Jorge disfrutaba del fútbol y pasar tiempo con su querida familia.

Esposo amado de María Iris (Niedbalski) Vásquez durante 54 años. Padre devoto de Paola, Christian y su esposa Ángela, y Carolina y su esposo Tim. Abuelo cariñoso de Anthony, Aldo, Ivana, Jaclyn, Thomas y Valerie.

Velorio el jueves 24 de abril, de 4 a 8 AM, en la Funeraria Shook, ubicada en 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral el viernes 25 de abril, a las 10 AM, en la funeraria. Entierro en el Cementerio Holy Cross, North Arlington.
