John
Wynne
January 12, 2026
John Wynne ("H", "Coach", "JW"), 75, of Cedar Grove, passed away on January 12, 2026. Born on August 22, 1950, in Passaic, NJ, John was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Irene Wynne.
Having a long and illustrious career, the highlight for John was working for Radio City Music Hall in New York City for over 25 years, where he served as the Vice President of House Operations. Prior to that, he worked at the Meadowlands Arena and Giants Stadium in East Rutherford from their inception in the late 1970s. His love of history led him to start his career after Salem College (WV), teaching history at Passaic Middle School No. 4 and coaching varsity basketball at the former Pope Pius High School in Passaic.
John was the most humorous and charismatic guy you could know—a devoted father and grandfather who was happiest when surrounded by his family. Summers were defined by making memories at the Jersey Shore and time spent together by the ocean. He was an avid basketball fan, a constant fixture at the racetrack, and always cherished the countless friendships he built throughout his life.
John is survived by his beloved companion Julia Leone and his siblings, Susan, Edward and his wife Joan, and Maria. He was a loving father and father-in-law to his daughter Marisa Dotro and her husband Tom, his daughter Lauren Lovelace, his son Robert Wynne and his wife Aubrey, his daughter Adrianne Wynne and his son Chris Wynne. He was a cherished and devoted grandfather of six grandchildren Antonio, Annalisa, Mason, Victoria, Lila, and Liam and a dear uncle to his nieces and nephews.
