John L. Stidl, 63, of Clifton, passed away on December 29, 2013. Born in Passaic, he lived in Parsippany, Budd Lake, Tampa and Largo, Florida, before moving to Clifton many years ago. A parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle, John was a Application Sales Engineer for Leslie Controls in Tampa and Parsippany for 33 years, retiring in 2009, and was a member of both the Clifton Stamp Club and the Clifton Coin Club. Beloved son of the late Otto and Mary (Quentz) Stidl. Dear brother of Thomas of Clifton. Sadly missed by his canine companions Maxwell and Honky Tonk Lady. Funeral Tuesday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Entombment, Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
