John Miskovsky, 84, of Passaic, passed away on February 22, 2024.

Born in Passaic he lived there most of his life. John dedicated his life to the City of Passaic, first as a Fireman with the Passaic Fire Department for 25 years, and later as a Construction Official for 25 years, retiring in 2019. A US Army Veteran, John proudly served his country during the Korean War. John was an avid gardener and loved taking care of his home, his wife, and his family, and was blessed with caring and attentive neighbors in the community where he resided for over 50 years, and whose close friendships were especially important to him through the years.

Beloved husband of the late Marjorie (Parnofiello) who passed away in 2022. Devoted father of Dr. John Miskovsky of Pawtucket, RI. Dear brother of Nicholas Miskovsky of Pennsylvania and Joan Potosnak of Franklin Park.

Memorial Gathering, Tuesday, March 5, 2024, 5-7 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Service Tuesday, 6 PM. Cremation was private.
