John Michal, 77, of Clifton passed away on December 25, 2020. Born in Passaic, John was a resident of Clifton for most of his life. A parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle Parish, Clifton, John was a proud US Navy Veteran and was a member of the Clifton VFW Post #7165, Saddle Brook VFW Post #3484 and Rochelle Park American Legion Post #170. John was a Police Officer for the city of Clifton for over 20 years before retiring in 2000.

Devoted father of Susan Sescila and her husband John of Fort Mill, SC, Gregory Michal and his wife Gina of New Providence and Jill Kochan and her husband Mark of Clifton. Cherished grandfather of Summer, Alexis, Natalie, Anthony, Daniel and Maxwell.

Visiting Tuesday 4-8PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave, Clifton. Funeral Mass Wednesday 10AM at St. Philip the Apostle Parish, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Cremation will be private.
