John Memoli, 89, of Clifton on August 26, 2009. Born in Savignano, Italy, he came to the US in 1953 and lived in Schenectady, NY, before moving to Clifton in 1957. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, John was a machinist for Weston Biscuit in Passaic for 17 years, and later John Duesenberry Co. in Clifton for many years, retiring in 1985. Beloved husband of the late Carmela (De Prospo) who died in 1998. Devoted father of Anna Laraby and Michael A. Memoli and his wife Donna, all of Clifton. Dear brother of the late Genevieve Di Matteo and Luciano. Loving grandfather of Michelle and her husband Chris, and Danielle, cherished great grandfather of Matthew and Serena. Funeral Saturday 8 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 9 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Entombment, St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi.
