John A. Lyons, 89, of Manasquan passed away on March 8, 2022. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Passaic and lived most of his life in Clifton before settling in Manasquan in 2015. A Proud Army Veteran John worked as a banker for NJ Bank, West Paterson, for 15 years before retiring in 1985. A devoted member of the Knights of Columbus #11671, John served as an usher for both St. John Kanty RC Church and St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, both located in Clifton.

Beloved husband for 54 years of the late Rosemary Ann Lyons (Zavodsky). Devoted father of Thomas Lyons and his wife Mary Jo of Passaic, Anne Lyons of Manasquan, John Lyons, Jr. and his wife Mary Ann of Clifton. Timothy Lyons and his wife Michele of Lake Como and Carole Lyons of Manasquan. Loving grandfather of Margaret Dos Santos and her husband Claudinei, Katherine, Christopher, John, III "Jack", Joseph and Thomas. Cherished great grandfather of Timothy, Nathanael and Jonathan. Dear brother of Joseph Lyons and his wife Janice of Santa Maria, CA.

Visitation Thursday 4–8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Friday 9:45 AM at the funeral home, and 11 AM at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
