John Lagomarsino, 73, of Clifton, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026. Born in Jersey City, John lived in Elmwood Park before settling in Clifton. He worked as a self-employed contractor throughout his career.

John was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (Blackwell) Lagomarsino and the devoted father of Scott and his wife Cherie, Sheri, Michelle, Christina and her husband Michael, and Danielle. He was a loving grandfather to Ava and Jackson. Dear brother of Paul Lagomarsino, and a loving brother-in-law and uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. John is predeceased by his parents, John and June Lagomarsino, and his brother, Dennis Lagomarsino.

John enjoyed fishing and soccer, and he loved playing darts as a longtime member of the Association Bergen County Dartists. He especially loved Hawaii and attending rock and roll concerts. He was a loyal fan of the Cleveland Browns and New York Yankees.

John was a proud member of the Elmwood Park Athletic Hall of Fame, recognized for his years playing soccer at Elmwood Park High School. He was also a longtime member and President of the Elmwood Park Reserve Club, where he proudly served for more than 40 years. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Visiting will be held Wednesday, September 30, from 4–8 PM at Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 1, at 8:45 AM at the funeral home, followed by a 10 AM Mass at St. Philip the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Clifton. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
