John P. Kehoe, 69, of Sterling Forest, NY, passed away on June 18, 2025. Born in Passaic, he lived in East Rutherford before settling on Greenwood Lake in Sterling Forest. John will forever be remembered as an eccentric, hardworking, playful, and adventurous man. He possessed a remarkable ability to repair anything and even improve it, as well as create something from nothing. He was a perfectionist with his hands when it came to the things he loved. He had a deep affection for lake life reveling in the serene beauty of the seasons blending into one another over the mountains. He loved cruising around in his pontoon boat and was known as Capt. Johnny.  He enjoyed motorcycles, cars and airplanes (piloting them, of course). He also just enjoyed the quiet of the still water and a cup of coffee.

Devoted father Kasandra Kehoe-Story and her wife Mytia Story. Cherished grandfather of Elise, Mathias and Cypher Loving brother of James and Kenneth. Dear nephew of George "Butch".
