John Humer, 78, of Elmwood Park, passed away on May 20, 2022. Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Clifton before moving to Elmwood Park 17 years ago.

A US Army Veteran during the Vietnam War, John was a Computer Technician for Western Union for 40 years, retiring in 2008. John was a member of the Garfield Memorial Post #255 American Legion and the Fairfield Elks Lodge #1192.

Beloved husband of the late Linda (LaBrunda) Humer, who passed away in 2017. Devoted father of Cindy Valenti and her husband Dino of Elmwood Park and Denise Cosentino and her husband Lou of Hawthorne. Loving grandfather of Alicia, Kelly, Jamie, Deno, Antonio and Nicole. Cherished great grandfather of Hunter, Cole, Sadie and Walker.

Visiting Thursday 4-7 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, with Military Honors at 6:30 PM. Cremation will be private.
